Ji Zei Shen Ji Zhe Liu Pao (擊賊神機柘榴砲, lit. 'Traitor-attacking divine engine pomegranate bomb'), also known as Huo Liu Pao (火榴砲, lit. 'Fire pomegranate bomb'), was a small cast iron bomb shaped like a pomegranate. It was filled with explosive, poison smoke gunpowder and blinding dust. The bomb was highly unstable, and would detonate simply by strong vibration. As such, it was specifically designed to be used as booby trap or roadside bomb. Its iron casing was painted with colourful artwork to attract enemy looters.
