Qian Zi Lei Pao (千子雷砲, lit. 'Thousand bullet thunder cannon') is one of the few carriage-mounted artillery in the Ming arsenal. It is a small bronze cannon fixed onto a four-wheeled carriage with iron hoops. The gun carriage is equipped with a removable wooden covering plate at the front to hide the cannon from enemy observer.

Qian Zi Lei Pao is usually loaded with six candareens of gunpowder and two to three sheng of small iron bullets.
